(Atlantic) – This Thursday’s Produce in the Park in Atlantic will roll out a special bicycle-themed event: Wheels Day!
Families are encouraged to bring their bikes for a fun-filled evening that includes bike decorating, an obstacle course, and safety tips from the Atlantic Police Department. The first 50 participants can pick up a free bike helmet (first come, first served), and the Atlantic Kiwanis will assist with fittings and share information about their helmet giveaway program.
Other highlights include:
-
Adult tricycles available to try courtesy of the YMCA
-
Bike maintenance support (tire inflation and seat adjustments) from Nishna Valley Trails
-
A free bike-themed craft activity from the Atlantic Public Library
Volunteers are needed to help with bike decorating and tire inflation (bring a multitool if you’d like to assist Dave and Elaine). Donations for bike-decorating supplies are welcome and can be dropped off at the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce by 2:30 PM on Thursday, June 12, or brought directly to the park just before the event opens at 4:30 PM.
