(Boone County) One person died in a two-vehicle crash in Boone, Iowa County.
The Iowa State Patrol reports that the accident occurred on Thursday at approximately 8:24 a.m. on Highway 30 and Montana Avenue. Authorities say 89-year-old Dale Ray Crouse of Boone died from injuries in the accident.
Crouse was driving a southbound 2003 Ford Ranger on Montana Avenue and failed to yield to a 2009 Mustang traveling east on Highway 30, driven by 17-year-old Aubrey Rose Alexander of Templeton, Iowa. Alexander attempted to avoid the collision but struck the pickup instead.
EMS transported Crouse to the Boone County Hospital.
