(Creston, IA) — The Atlantic Boys Golf team continue their hot streak on the golf course — after breaking 300 as a team on Tuesday at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club, they were not tired in the least on Wednesday and won the Hawkeye Ten Conference meet, winning by 23 strokes at Crestmoor Golf Club.
Hudson McLaren and Tristan Hayes tied for the individual conference title, each shooting a 76 on the par 72 course. On the playoff hole, number four which is a par 4, Hayes put his third shot close to the pin for an assured par putting the pressure on McLaren to hit a 15 foot birdie putt to win it but that’s exactly what McLaren did to win the conference championship.
Brady Wood finished 3rd for the Trojans with a 77 only one stroke back. Gage Gross was 5th with a 78. Sam Brosam was tied for 20th with an 84. Trevan Hansen was tied for 37th with a 90.
