(Atlantic) Atlantic Trees Forever has announced that spring tree vouchers will be available beginning May 1st. The program provides a $30 discount toward the purchase of a tree, helping local homeowners offset the cost of tree planting and encouraging the replacement of trees lost due to removal or disease.
Dolly Bergmann, with Atlantic Trees Forever, said each household is eligible for one voucher. The vouchers can be obtained at the Atlantic Hy-Vee. There are a limited number of vouchers available.
Bergmann also reminded residents of the importance of watering newly planted trees throughout the spring and into the summer to ensure healthy growth.
