Move to the Fall for Girls Tennis is Fine With Coach Nissen of Audubon

(Audubon, IA) — This will be the final year for girls tennis in the spring — the sport will be played in the fall starting with the 2025-26 school year. Audubon Head Coach Kenzie Nissen says that is just fine with her, in fact she is looking forward to the change. Nissen says there are two reasons why it will be an advantage

Nissen says there will be more time for her players to prepare for the season. Going into the spring season, the weather is not very convenient for practices but now you get to play tennis in the summer and it will transition nicely to the fall sports season

Audubon has 22 players going out for girls tennis this spring — some from Exira EHK and some from IKM Manning. Nissen does not see those numbers going down in the fall but she did have to talk about players who currently play volleyball
