Atlantic Fire Department responds to a small residential fire

(Atlantic) The Atlantic Fire Department was called to a small residential fire at 1308 Chestnut Street at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday.

Atlantic Fire Chief Tom Cappel stated that they believe the fire was caused by the improper disposal of smoking materials.

The Fire Department was on scene for approximately 30 minutes.

The Atlantic Police Department assisted with traffic control.
