(Griswold, IA) — Eight wins may not seem like a lot but for Griswold Boys Basketball it is their most wins since the 2014-15 season so the Tigers made progress under first year Head Coach Ryan Lockwood. However, it will be a big turnaround for the Tigers after losing seven seniors including all the starters. Lockwood says if things gone differently here and there, they might have been a 500 club
The seniors are Bode Wyman — who led the team in scoring — Peyton Cook, Hogan Hook, Zane Johnson, and Connor Bowers who were the starters plus Auden Wilson and Cody Dorscher. Griswold had won 4 in a row in late January to get close to 500 but lost 4 in a row to end the season. Lockwood says they relied on their defense
Junior Brayden Lockwood was the 6th man and averaged 4.6 points off the bench and Ryan Lockwood says he will have to be the leader next season
Other players to watch for next season include Freshmen Dain Laverty and Colton Frieze and Sophomores Callen Keiser and Walker Gary.
