(Harlan) The Shelby County Road Embargo is lifted.
On Tuesday, Shelby County Engineer, Chris Fredericksen stated on social media, “Due to improving weather and road conditions, the Shelby County Road Embargo will be lifted effective Tuesday, March 11, at 5:00 p.m. Fredericksen thanks the public for their assistance.
Initially, the Chairman of the Shelby County Board of Supervisors and the Shelby County Engineer jointly agreed to place a ten-ton load limit on selected “Load-Sensitive” road surfaces in the County’s Road System.
The embargo is no longer in effect.
