(Atlantic) The Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors were hosted by the United Church of Christ on Thursday, March 6th, 2025, for a tour of their facilities and an overview of their community outreach.
Although affectionately known as “the church on the hill,” United Church of Christ is far more than just a landmark. Pastor Heather discussed a recent community study that revealed significant needs, prompting the church to launch the Unity with UCC Ministry. This impactful program, held every Thursday evening, offers “otherly abled adults” a chance to enjoy a shared meal and engaging activities, building a strong sense of community. The church is committed to the continued growth of this valuable program.
The church’s large 3-acre property provides a variety of rental spaces. These include a large fellowship hall, a fully furnished kitchen with multiple ovens and plenty of utensils, and smaller, more intimate meeting areas such as classrooms and a cozy “fireside room” complete with comfortable seating and a fireplace.
