(Des Moines) Snow continues to gradually diminish, but strong northeast winds of 50-65 miles per hour continue to blow snow around, degrading visibility and making travel difficult.
A Blizzard Warning, and High Wind Warning remain in effect until 3:00 p.m. in portions of southwest Iowa. The High Wind Warning is mainly in effect for Central Iowa until 6:00 p.m.
The storm has moved out of extreme western Iowa. Monona, Harrison, Shelby, Pottawattamie, Mills, Fremont, Page, and Montgomery counties are now clear. However, road conditions in these areas are still partially to entirely covered with snow and ice.
