(Atlantic) The Sunnyside Tennis Courts need some work.
Mike McDermott, the Atlantic City Council Park Advisory Commission liaison, presented two proposals to the Commission on Wednesday afternoon: one for the Sunnyside tennis courts and the other at the tennis courts at Washington School.
The Sunnyside proposal would include four color courts, a riteway crack repair system, and additional game lines. The Washington School proposal would consist of three color courts, three pickleball courts, and one tennis court. It would also include the crack repair system and pickleball net post system.
McDermott indicated that the city’s share, for both locations, and pending a USTA grant and support from the Atlantic Community Schools, would be approximately $56,000.
The Commission approved the bids.
In other business, the Advisory Commission re-elected Kevin Ferguson as chairman, Mary Strong as vice-chair, and Dolly Bergmann as secretary.
