(Atlantic) One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Atlantic this (Thursday) morning.
The Atlantic Police Department says Sidney Petty, of Atlantic, was driving northbound on Locust Street, approaching 7th Street, at approximately 7:20 a.m. Petty failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a westbound vehicle driven by Forrest Yoshida, of Atlantic.
A passenger in Yoshida’s vehicle was transported to Cass Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
Petty was cited for Failure to Obey Stop Sign.
The damage to Petty’s vehicle was estimated at $15,000. The damage to Yoshida’s vehicle was estimated at $30,000.
