(Anita, IA) — The 1A Girls Basketball playoffs start tonight as Griswold visits CAM in a Region #1 first round match-up, coverage on KS 95.
CAM comes in at 11-10 and are peaking at the end of the season — the Cougars have won 5 of their last 6 with the only loss to Exira EHK. Maddie Richter leads CAM in scoring averaging 16.3 points per game but Head Coach Joe Wollum believes he has plenty of other offensive threats so that defenses can solely focus on Richter
Griswold is 6-15 and led by Sophomore Amanda Houser at 11.9 ppg but the Tigers are the opposite of CAM, they come into the playoffs having lost 4 in a row including a 47-40 loss to Bedford on Tuesday when they only had 10 points in the first half. This is the first meeting between these two schools in 5 years despite being only separated by 32 miles. That doesn’t mean that Wollum is not familiar with the Tigers
