(Area) — The IHSAA has released the Boys Wrestling Regional Dual pairings for competition next Tuesday, February 4. Atlantic is the 13th seed in Class 2A and will be going to Winterset — the Trojans face #10 Eddyville Blakesburg Fremont and the winner meets the 7th ranked Huskies in the regional finals.
Also in 2A, Creston was the last team to make the field, ranking #24 — the Panthers will face #15 Ballard in the semifinals and the winner wrestles #4 Sgt. Bluff-Luton.
In Class 1A, Riverside will be a regional host — the 5th ranked Bulldogs will meet either #16 Underwood or #19 Shenandoah in the finals. Nodaway Valley is ranked #14 and going to Wilton — the Wolverines wrestle against #21 Interstate 35 with the winner meeting the Beavers in the finals.
In Class 3A, Lewis Central is ranked #12 and faces #14 Ankeny Centennial — the winner meets #6 Waukee Northwest in the regional finals.
Regional duals for all three classes are scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4. The top eight teams in each class qualify for the State Dual Team Tournament, set for Saturday, Feb. 8 at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
Tickets for regional duals will be available through IHSAA Tickets and go on sale at 9 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1.
