Juvenile Charged with Threats of Terrorism in Montgomery County

(Red Oak) A Montgomery County juvenile is in custody for making terroristic threats to school staff at Stanton.

At 2:13 p.m. on Monday, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office took a 12-year-old juvenile into custody at the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Center on charges of Threats of Terrorism. Officers then transported the youth to the Southwest Iowa Juvenile Detention Center.

Authorities say there was no active danger to the students or staff.
