(Area) Harrison, Shelby, Pottawattamie, Audubon, and Guthrie Counties are in an Extreme Cold Warning until Noon on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service says the dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as ten minutes. Dress in layers if you must go outside.
The rest of southwest Iowa is currently in a Cold Weather Advisory.
