(Des Moines, IA) — Governor Kim Reynolds is laying out her priorities for Iowa. The Republican gave her Condition of the State address last night before the Iowa Legislature, including adding a Department of Government Efficiency. It is similar to the same department created by President-Elect Trump. Another topic Reynolds wants to tackle is phones in school. She said she plans to propose a bill that at the least bans using cell phones during class time. Some districts have already started implementing similar bans. Reynolds also talked about Medicaid and providing support for daycare programs.
