(Centerville) One person died and two others suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Appanoose County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at Highway 2 and North B Street. Authorities say 63-year-old Jeffrey Robert Underwood of Centerville, died in the crash. Ronald Kevin Bedford, 59, and Esther Lorraine Bedford, 68, both from Sun City, West, Arizona suffered injuries.
According to the report Underwood was driving an eastbound Ford F150 pickup in the westbound lanes of Highway 2, and collided with a westbound 2024 Kia driven by Robert Bedford just east of Highway 2 North Be Street.
Centerville EMS transported Ronald Bedford, and Esther Lorraine Bedford to Mercy Hospital in Centerville.
