(Stuart, IA) — In a large 15 team girls wrestling tournament hosted by West Central Valley, Riverside earned a team championship over Clarinda and Creston. Molly Allen was the only individual champ but the Bulldogs had four 2nd place finishers. Allen won the 125 pound weight class — after a first round bye, the three time state champ won with back to back tech falls both ending just after a minute in the first period. Allen is now 19-0 on the season
Second place finishers included Jersey Hilgenberg at 100 pounds, Hailey Harvey at 115, Veronica Shechinger at 120, and Khloe Corum at 190. Third place finishers for Riverside included Ryleigh Garrison at 17 and Mckenna Dorr at 145. Fourth place finishes went to Sarah Cody at 130 and Ana Wilson at 140.
For Harlan, Elle Stephens was 2nd at 125 pounds losing in the finals to Molly Allen by tech fall. Addison Obrecht finished in third place at 105 going 3-1 with 3 falls including a first round pin in 19 seconds. Danica Schwery was 6th at 155, Krysten Madden was 6th at 135, Annaleigh Sheehan was 6th at 110.
