(Des Moines) Police are calling a deadly Christmas Day shooting in Des Moines a murder-suicide. Officers responded to a home on Wednesday for a report of shots fired when they found two people with gunshot wounds. Turns out it was a husband who had shot his wife before turning the gun on himself. Investigators say the 60-year-old husband died at the scene, and the 53-year-old victim went to the hospital, but an update yesterday said she had passed away. The homicide was the 17th to take place in Des Moines this year.
