(Atlantic) Atlantic City Councilman Shawn Sarsfield has confirmed that the city’s proposed sidewalk project is progressing. During Wednesday’s City Council meeting. Sarsfield outlined the plan, which involves city workers providing the labor while homeowners cover the cost of the concrete. The project will prioritize areas most in need, with the committee selecting three zones to address first. Applications for participation are now available at City Hall.
Sarsfield noted that moving forward, once the sidewalks are repaired, the property owner is responsible for maintaining them.
He noted this initiative is part of a long-term effort, expected to span up to five years.
