(Des Moines) An ice storm made it a busy weekend for the Iowa State Patrol. The law enforcement agency said it responded to more than 250 calls for service between Friday and Sunday when the weather caused many ice roads. The calls included 93 crashes, 78 instances of property damage, and one death. The Iowa DOT reminded drivers to check online for road conditions to be prepared while driving.
