(Washington, DC) — The monthly jobs report shows payrolls increased more than expected in November.
The Labor Department reported 227-thousand jobs were created last month compared to October’s upwardly revised 36-thousand. The unemployment rate edged higher to four-point-two percent as expected.
Analysts note the rebound follows a significant labor strike and violent storms in the Southeast the previous month.
