(Iowa City) The late principal of Perry High School is set to be honored at the annual Iowa-Nebraska “Heroes Game.” Dan Marburger will be named this year’s Iowa Hero. Marburger passed away after a student shot him at the high school in January. He put himself in harm’s way to protect the students from the shooter who opened fire in the cafeteria. Every year, a local hero is honored during the Black Friday matchup. The game begins at 6:30 tonight at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City.
