(Des Moines, IA) — Governor Kim Reynolds is expected to name a new lieutenant governor in the near future.
Reynolds told reporters yesterday she has finished interviews with potential candidates and a decision will likely come “in the next couple of weeks.” The Republican explained the decision has taken time because of a busy schedule, including a more than week long mission trip to India.
Iowa has not had a lieutenant governor for nearly three months now following the resignation of Adam Gregg. He left to take the leading role of the Iowa Bankers Association.
