(Griswold, IA) — There was some improvement last year for the Griswold girls basketball team so the Tigers hope the trend continues in the upward direction. Going from 2 wins to 6 may not seem like much, but Head Coach Aaron Houser is making some changes this year. Houser wants to see his team ramp up the pressure and do some running up and down the floor — it might help generate some offense which was the weakness of the team last season
The Tigers have two seniors that were starters a year ago — Addison Adams (7.6 ppg) was a 32 percent three point shooter and Abby Gohlinghorst (6.1 ppg) will both bring leadership according to Houser
Sophomore Amanda Houser had a solid freshman season — 5.9 ppg, 4.3 rbg, and 2.1 steals per game. Junior Josie Millikan brings some size and is a better than average passer for a big gal. Coach Houser will see some other players contribute as either a starter or in the rotation and he will need a deeper bench with the uptempo style
Griswold opens their season next Tuesday December 3 hosting Fremont Mills
