UPDATE: Student Charged with Attempted Murder

(Pella) The student accused of a knife attack at Pella Middle School has been charged with attempted murder.  The unidentified 14-year-old was also hit with other felony and misdemeanor charges in juvenile court yesterday.  Pella police say the teen brought a large knife from home and hurt two girls, but their cuts were considered to be minor.  The boy allegedly tried to hurt a third person but was unsuccessful.  Police noted the boy also allegedly attacked a counselor earlier this year.
