(Pella, IA) — Two girls were hurt in an attack at Pella Middle School Wednesday morning.
Pella Police Chief Shane McSheehy says the two girls have cuts but their injuries are minor.
Pella School Superintendent Greg Ebeling says there were a couple dozen kids in the cafeteria at the time.
The 14-year-old suspect is in custody. Chief McSheehy says the boy also attacked a counselor earlier this year. The school was on lockdown during the police response but students were back in class after that.
