(Louisville, Kentucky) Logan Tibken, a 12-year-old from Wiota, Iowa, and his Charolais heifer, “Gabby,” have had an outstanding year.
Logan, the son of Tucker and Kim Tibken, and the grandson of Jim and Pam Tibken, of Wiota, added another big piece of hardware to the families trophy case. The duo capped off their 2024 portion of the show season with a prestigious victory, claiming Grand Champion honors at the Charolais Composite Show at the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) on Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky. The NAILE is the largest all-breed, purebred livestock show in the United States, drawing top livestock exhibitors from across the globe to compete for coveted purple banners on the show floor.
Logan’s journey to Kentucky followed a series of impressive wins, including the Champion Charolais Percentage title at the 2024 Iowa State Fair Junior Show and the Championship at the American Royal in Kansas City. According to Logan’s mother, Kim, says this marks the end of their successful 2024 show season. Plans for the 2025 circuit are still to be determined, but one thing is certain: Logan and his show cattle are a force to be reckoned with, no matter where they compete.
