(Atlantic) Iowa Senator Joni Ernst visited the Atlantic Bottling Company on Friday morning as part of her river-to-river tour. During her visit, she met with the company’s leaders, including CEO Rob Feeney. Senator Ernst says labor is one of the issues discussed during the tour of the long-time bottling company.
Senator Ernst also discussed the new administration coming to Washington, D.C., in January and Congress. She says the first item on the list will be the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which is very important to small businesses across Iowa.
Following her stop in Atlantic, Senator Ernst will travel to Plymouth County to present the Small Business of the Week Award to Browns Century Theater and Gift Shop.
She is also scheduled to meet with the student leadership team at Sheldon High School in O’Brien County to discuss leadership and her role as a Senator. After that, she will meet with Storm Lake High School students in Buena Vista County. The day will conclude with a discussion of economic development in Emmetsburg, located in Palo Alto County.
