(Cerro Gordo Co) A woman from Mason City was fatally struck by a 2019 Kenworth box truck in Cerro Gordo County early this morning.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, 59-year-old Michelle Schutz and another person were walking along Interstate 35 near mile marker 194 when Schutz was hit by the truck, driven by 60-year-old Henry Moss Jr. of Des Moines. Schutz was pronounced dead at the scene.
Moss continued driving south on Interstate 35 and was later located by a State Trooper near Des Moines.
