(Red Oak) Red Oak Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian.
According to Police, the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the 200 block of E. Joy Street for a report of a pedestrian’s arm run over by what is described as a grey or silver truck with an unknown license plate. The victim stated he slipped on the pavement, fell on the roadway, and a truck ran over his arm. The victim told police that someone inside the truck stopped, asked if he was ok, and took off.
A witness told authorities they saw the truck stop, causing them to stop behind it. After the truck drove off, the witness helped the male victim off the street. Red Oak Rescue arrived and checked him out; however, he refused transport.
