(Guthrie Center, IA) — The Board of Supervisors in Guthrie County denied a resident the opportunity to build a religious facility near Stuart. Jim Bagby had requested the Board to approve the rezoning of the property at 3276 268th Street in Stuart to allow for a new religious complex but it was not defined as a church
Zoning Administrator Chris Whitaker says that current ordinances do not allow a path forward for the change in zoning in this instance.
After some debate, the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to agree with Whitaker and deny the petition.
