(Mahaska Co.) Two people were killed and two others were injured in an accident in Mahaska County Friday evening.
The Iowa State Patrol says 43-year-old Sy Yang, of Oskaloosa, was driving a 2018 Subaru Outback eastbound on Highway 163 near mile marker 53. 68-year-old Gary Edward Lisk, of Oskaloosa, was driving a John Deere 8200, pulling a tiller implement, eastbound on the right shoulder. The tractor started to merge to the left and the Subaru struck the rear left side of the towed implement, causing a front compartment intrusion .
43-year-old Sy Yang and 45-year-old Rachel Anne Yang were killed in the accident. 22-year-old Kaylah Yang and 18-year-old Benjamin Yang were both transported to Mahaska Health by Mahaska Ambulance.
The accident remains under investigation.
