(Ankeny) An Ankeny Community School District employee was arrested on Wednesday. The arrest was for public intoxication while at the school. Staff members reported Sara Halbur for erratic behavior. Police determined she had a blood alcohol content that was three times over the legal driving limit. Authorities found open bottles of whiskey in her possession. The 50-year-old teacher has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. The school district expressed disappointment in the conduct and fully cooperated with law enforcement.
