(Red Oak) The Red Oak Fire Department responded to a house fire early this morning (Wednesday). Montgomery County Communications dispatched firefighters to 104 B Street at approximately 4:21 a.m.
Upon arrival, fire crews found a single-story residential structure with the front of the building fully involved in fire. The two adults and one child occupying the home were quickly accounted for and self-evacuated before the emergency crews arrived. EMS examined the occupants, but they were not transported.
Auto-aid was received from Stanton FD and Elliott FD, and additional mutual aid was received from Emerson FD and Essex FD. The Fire was deemed under control at 5:28 a.m. Fireground operations were terminated at 7:21 a.m. The fire remains under investigation at this time.
The family has been placed in contact with the Red Cross.
