(Des Moines, IA) — Iowa is among nine states experiencing salmonella cases. The cases are linked to a recall from Milo’s Poultry Farms. The FDA’s recall affects eggs sold under the Milo’s, M&E Family Farms, and Tony’s Fresh Markets labels with expiration dates of October 12 or earlier. So far, Iowa has recorded two cases, while Wisconsin has reported the highest total at 42 cases. Consumers are advised not to consume the recalled eggs and to sanitize any surfaces they may have touched. Symptoms of salmonella infection can include stomach cramps, diarrhea, and fever.
