(Anita, IA) — The CAM football team got a little scare last Friday as Exira EHK came storming back from a big deficit and the Cougars held on for a 32-30 win. A safety in the 4th quarter was the difference in the game; it was a big play for a defense that could have played better according to their head coach. Barry Bower says there might have been some distractions for his team last week
Brayden Chester ran for 127 yards and 2 TD for the Cougars; Makade Paulsen ran for 106 yards and 1 score; was 3-6 passing for 78 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT but also excelled on defense with 15.5 tackles and 3 TFL. But pleasing Coach Bower is a hard thing to do; he says Paulsen could have had more tackles
Collin Bower added 11 tackles and 2 TFL and Kayden Winther caught a 61 yard TD against Exira EHK. Bower says his team can learn some things from being in a close game
This week, 4-1 CAM visits the 2-3 Sidney Cowboys.
