(Council Bluffs, IA) — A bull elk has been found dead in Pottawattamie County, near Council Bluffs. The Iowa State Patrol says the bull elk was found just off of Interstate 80, at mile marker eight. ISP says the death was most likely the result of being hit by a vehicle. No human injuries or damage have been reported from the impact. Iowa is believed to have up to three bull elk traversing the state in recent weeks.
