(Pottawattamie Co) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday recognized County Assessor Penny Ravlin’s dedicated service and retirement.
Board Chair Susan Miller read Ravlin’s letter of resignation that was submitted to the Board on July 1, 2024.
Ravlin’s final day is September 30, 2024.
Susan Miller said per Iowa Code and the requirements for selecting a new County Assessor, the Conference Board met on September 18th and following the recommendations of a committee who did the interviewing they approved Joe Casson as the new County Assessor pending confirmation by the State Department. Joe Casson is the current Chief Deputy Assessor for Pottawattamie County.
