(Farnhamville, Iowa) A man is in custody following the investigation into the disappearance and death of a 17-year-old female in the Calhoun County, Iowa, town of Farnhamville.
On Tuesday, Authorities charged 21-year-old Nathaniel Bevers-McGivney with First Degree Murder following the investigation into the disappearance and death of M.J., the 17-year-old female, whose body was discovered early Monday morning in Farnhamville.
The charge stems from a report that M.J. went missing in Farnhamville on Sunday evening. Law Enforcement’s investigation resulted in the detention and subsequent arrest of Bevers-McGivney.
Bevers-McGivney is currently held in the Carroll County Jail. Law enforcement believes this is an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. However, the investigation continues.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Webster County Sheriff’s Office, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Rockwell City Police Department, Lake City Police Department, Calhoun County Emergency Management Agency, Webster County Emergency Management Agency, and Gowrie Police Department.
