(Anita, IA) —In 8 Man football, you only have three offensive lineman so they better be pretty good. At CAM, Chase Jahde is really good. The Senior goes both ways at Left guard and Defensive tackle so he is in the thick of contact all game long. The Cougars were outmuscled in their opener against Audubon, falling to the Wheelers 38-20. Jahde says he was surprised about how good Audubon was
CAM thought they would have All Stater Chase Spieker at QB this year but he suffered a season ending injury during the summer so Jahde says everybody had to pick themselves up and make adjustments
Jahde did not play football when he was really young; his friends kind of threw him into games when he was in middle school and he fell in love with it
Jahde is actually a better golfer than lineman – he finished 2nd at the state tournament last year with the 2nd day rained out – he says he has had some offers from colleges to go to their football camps but he is leaning to playing college golf. As for the rest of this season, CAM could meet up with Audubon again in the playoffs but Jahde has got the coach speak down, he is worried about Exira EHK this week
3-1 CAM hosts 2-2 Exira EHK this Friday.
