(Exira, IA) — Someone once said that hope is being able to see there is light despite all the darkness. There was a lot of darkness last week for Exira EHK in a 72-0 loss to rival Audubon. Nothing went right with the Wheelers scoring on the second play from scrimmage and never looking back. The Spartans only had 61 yards of total offense. While Audubon’s defense had a lot to do with that, Exira EHK Head Coach Drew Buckholt says the Spartans also beat themselves
Buckholdt is not going to sit around though and hope his offense will just correct itself — he like the combination of QB Bryce Brabham and RB Alex Hansen but he plans to incorporate a different type of game plane
This week the Spartans hots Sidney in a District 10 match-up. The Cowboys can throw it with QB Michael Hemsley (390 yards passing ,4 TD, 1 INT) or run it with Braedon Godfread (334 yards, 5 TD) and Hemsley (210 yards, 2 TD) but Buckholdt hopes his boys have it together in between the ears in addition to on the field
2-1 Sidney visits 1-2 Exira EHK
