(Des Moines, IA) — Some of Iowa’s tourists spots will be getting into the Halloween spirit soon.
Jessica O’Riley, with the Iowa Tourism Office, said they have a few itineraries that mix spooky locations with distilleries across the state. She says one option is to visit the (supposedly haunted) American Theater in Cherokee, then sample spirits at the “Wych Doctor” distillery nearby.
She said another spooky idea for fall is visiting the Villisca Axe Murder house.
O’Riley says some might think tourism in the state slows down in the fall, but she said fall is a really big season in Iowa.
