(Council Bluffs) A Council Bluffs man has been sentenced to 134 months in federal prison for his role in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
According to court records, 48-year-old Lawrence Allen Peterson, II, also known by the alias “Toro,” conspired with others to distribute methamphetamine in the Council Bluffs metropolitan area between March and October 2023. This is not Peterson’s first drug-related offense; he was previously convicted of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in 2005 in the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska.
Following his release from prison, Peterson will serve an additional five-year term of supervised release. In the federal system, there is no option for parole.
