(Cass Co) Enrollment is now open for Cass County 4-H. 4-H is a free, year-round program for youth in grades K-12, thanks to the Cass County 4-H Endowment Fund. County Youth Coordinator Katie Bateman highlights the program’s impact, noting that 4-H participants are more likely to contribute to their communities and engage in STEM activities.
4-H helps youth develop life skills like public speaking, self-motivation, and conflict management. Monthly meetings include community service, recreation, and discussions on upcoming events. Families are encouraged to attend with their children to enhance the experience.
The new 4-H program year begins in September.
Cass County 4-H currently has over 300 members and 100 volunteers.
