(Pottawattamie Co) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors approved a proclamation designating the month of September as Library Card Sign-Up Month in Pottawattamie County.
Board Chair Susan Miller read the proclamation…
The proclamation also, in part, states; Libraries assist people of all ages in navigating life’s complexities, offering access to research, information, and government services that enhance productivity and fulfillment; and during times of crisis, libraries and their staff play a vital role in supporting communities both in-person and virtually.
A library card ignites creativity and empowers individuals to explore new interests and pursue lifelong learning; therefore the Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors encourage everyone to sign up for a library card today.
In other news, the Board of Supervisors presented the Pottawattamie County Fair Association Board with a check for $125,000. Adam Stamp, Fair Board President, told the Supervisors that they are moving forward with their infrastructure projects, they are working to tie this money together with some other grants and they will use that money as wisely as possible.
