(Exira, IA) — Exira EHK is not used to getting pushed around but that’s what Ar-We-Va did last week as the Spartans fell 34-0. The last time that Exira was shutout in a game was 4 years ago August 28, 2020 in a 55-0 loss to Audubon.
So Head Coach Drew Buckholdt had to do something drastic and so he switched his Sophomore quarterback Josten Kilworth with his Junior tailback Bryce Bradham. Buckholdt says the move is designed to get the speedy Bradham more touches but he is inexperienced in the passing game so it will be a crash course this week
Buckholdt says he’s trying to maximize the abilities of all his players and Kilworth has bought into the switch
Buckholt also hopes to get Alex Hansen some more touches, the Senior only had 6 carries for 11 yards last week. This week the Spartans open up district play, visiting Stanton who lost to Lenox 50-18 last week. Buckholdt says the Vikings play a physical style
Exira EHK 0-1 at Stanton 0-1.
