(Guthrie Center, IA) — The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors are working at improving EMS service to the county. They covered two areas at Tuesday’s meeting: 1) What were the next steps for the board and 2) Ways to get information out to the public. Supervisor Maggie Armstrong says there is one major goal of the supervisors
The Board still need to determine costs involved in the EMS service which would involve hiring a Director of EMS service in the county. Armstrong expressed at the meeting what the first step would be in hiring someone
Besides increasing response time in the county, the Board also hopes to find a stable source of funding to keep the EMS service operative for a long time in Guthrie County. The Board plans on a series of town meetings across the county to gather information and interaction from the county residents.
