(Oakland, IA) — The Riverside volleyball team has gotten off to a great start, winning all six of their games this past Saturday at the AHSTW Tournament.
The Bulldogs lost only one set in wins over AHSTW, Atlantic, CAM, Earlham, East Mills, and MVAOCOU. One player who had a big weekend was Junior Setter Bentley Rone who was a dual threat with 53 assists and 31 kills. Riverside Head Coach Brooke Flanders it was a great team effort in passing that led to their sweep
Also for Riverside, Senior Elly Henderson had 36 total kills, Senior Sophia Taylor with 15 kills, Sophomore Lilli Reed with 12, and Junior Madison Kelly with 10. That makes the Bulldogs a real dangerous team according to Flanders
Also for the Bulldogs, Freshman Ashley Kelley had 49 assists on Saturday, Sophomore Sophia Fenner led with 34 digs, Senior Ayla Richardson added 29 digs, and Fenner led with 11 aces. Flanders believes playing in tournaments like these gets her team ready for games in the Western Iowa Conference
